Empowering Women Through Community Support
Empowering Women Through Community Support
Raise Her CIC exists to improve outcomes for women and girls by addressing the gaps that too often sit between wellbeing, confidence, opportunity and community support. We believe that when women are given the time, space and practical support to focus on themselves, the impact extends far beyond the individual - strengthening families, communities and future generations.
Our work is grounded in the understanding that many women face overlapping pressures, including mental load, caring responsibilities, financial insecurity, isolation and limited access to opportunity. Raise Her CIC was created to respond to these realities by offering supportive, accessible programmes that help women rebuild confidence, improve wellbeing, develop skills and move towards greater stability and independence.
We deliver our work through community programmes, designed to provide meaningful support without long-term dependency but with long-term impact. These programmes combine guided sessions, practical tools, shared learning and community connection, supporting women to make realistic, sustainable changes at their own pace.
Raise Her CIC is rooted locally in Chesterfield and Sheffield, while also delivering online programmes accessible nationwide, allowing us to reach women across the UK. Our long-term aim is to create a network of community-based and virtual programmes that reduce inequality, improve access to opportunity and support women to move forward with confidence - whether that means improved wellbeing, stronger community connection, access to employment, access to Art's or the confidence to pursue new ideas
Our impact is measured not only through participation, but through longer-term outcomes such as improved wellbeing, increased confidence, progression into employment or education, and strengthened community networks. Through sustained, community-led work, Raise Her CIC aims to contribute to lasting, positive change for women, girls and the communities they are part of.
Alongside our community projects, Raise Her CIC also delivers paid services and consultancy, with income supporting the sustainability of our work.
Raise Her Up is a supportive community project created for women who want space to focus on themselves, explore new possibilities and feel supported - whether that’s around wellbeing, confidence, work, community or ideas. Through practical, accessible sessions, the project creates opportunities for women to connect, build skills and move forward in a way that feels realistic and achievable. Raise Her Up is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, helping ensure the programme remains inclusive, welcoming and accessible.
All Raise Her Up sessions are completely free to attend. Thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund, there is no cost to take part and no requirement to have prior experience or be at a particular stage.
